How we handle your information and respect your trust
Last updated: January 2024
Look, we get it - nobody really enjoys reading privacy policies. But we figured if you're gonna trust us with designing your building, you should probably know how we handle your information. So here's the honest rundown without all that legal mumbo-jumbo.
When you reach out to us or work with us, we'll collect the basics:
We're architects, not data miners. Here's what we do with your information:
Your info stays pretty locked down. We won't sell your data to anyone - that's just not our style. We might share certain details with:
We take data security seriously. All project files are stored on encrypted servers, emails are secured, and our office has proper physical security measures. We're not Fort Knox, but we've got solid protection in place. That said, no system is 100% bulletproof, so we can't guarantee absolute security - just our best effort.
Our website uses cookies to remember your preferences and track how people use the site. Nothing creepy - just helps us understand which pages are helpful and which ones need work. You can disable cookies in your browser if you want, though some features might not work as smoothly.
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you've got some solid rights:
Project records stick around for at least 7 years after project completion - that's required by the Architectural Institute of BC. Marketing contact info gets purged if you haven't engaged with us in 3 years. We're not hoarders; we just keep what's necessary.
Our site might link to suppliers, manufacturers, or other resources. Once you click through to their sites, our privacy policy doesn't apply anymore - they've got their own rules. We try to only link to reputable sources, but do your own homework too.
Sometimes we'll need to update this policy - maybe laws change, or we add new services. We'll post updates here and note the date at the top. For major changes, we'll shoot you an email if you're an active client.
If you've got questions about how we handle your information, or if you want to exercise any of your privacy rights, just reach out. We're happy to chat about it - transparency is kind of our thing.
