Forging Bold Spaces with Environmental Precision
Started in 2011 out of a cramped studio space near the docks, we've always been drawn to the raw honesty of industrial buildings. There's something about designing structures that actually make things - factories, warehouses, commercial hubs - that keeps us coming back.
We're not here to win design awards, though we've picked up a few along the way. What drives us is creating buildings that work hard, last long, and don't trash the planet in the process.
Vancouver's been good to us. The city's push toward green building gave us room to experiment with sustainable materials and energy systems that actually pencil out financially. Turns out clients appreciate buildings that cut their operating costs while meeting environmental targets.
We don't hide structure behind unnecessary flourishes. If a beam does the work, we let it show. Industrial spaces deserve architecture that respects their purpose - efficient, clear, and built to perform.
Environmental design isn't a checkbox exercise for us. We've spent years figuring out passive heating, natural ventilation, and material choices that reduce carbon footprint without blowing the budget. It's gotta work in the real world.
Buildings we design today need to adapt to tomorrow's needs. Flexible floor plans, robust systems, materials that age well - we're designing for decades, not just the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
We listen more than we talk in those first meetings. Every site has its own constraints and opportunities - wind patterns, solar orientation, existing infrastructure, neighborhood context. We dig into all of it.
Our team includes structural engineers, energy modelers, and materials specialists who work together from day one. That integrated approach means fewer surprises during construction and buildings that actually perform as designed.
We're also not precious about our ideas. If something's not working or if there's a better solution, we pivot. The goal is a building that serves its purpose brilliantly, not protecting our ego.

Sq Ft Designed
We're a crew of 14 architects, designers, and engineers who actually like spending time together. Most of us have been here for 5+ years, which says something about the work environment and the projects we take on.
Principal Architect
15 years designing heavy industrial facilities across Western Canada.
Sustainability Lead
Former mechanical engineer who switched to architecture after getting obsessed with passive design.
Project Director
Keeps our projects on track and on budget without losing the design integrity.
Heritage Specialist
Spent a decade restoring century-old industrial buildings before joining us in 2018.
Whether you're planning a new build, restoring an old warehouse, or trying to hit aggressive sustainability targets, we'd like to hear what you're working on.
